This Privacy Policy explains how CodeBaseStudio ("we") handles information when you use the Astrology & Tarot Readings app on Android. The iPhone app has its own policy.
The app calculates your birth chart on your phone, shows a daily reading for your Sun sign, draws one tarot card a day, and offers premium content through an auto-renewing subscription.
sun_taurus,moon_cancer,asc_virgo — never when or where you were born.To calculate a chart, the app asks for your date of birth, time of birth (optional), and place of birth.
This information is stored in the app's private storage on your phone and is used there to compute planetary positions from an astronomical table bundled inside the app. It is not sent to our servers, and we have no way to retrieve it.
Android backup: if backup is turned on for your device, Android includes the birth details and the completed setup in your device backup, so they come back when you reinstall the app or move to a new phone. That backup is stored by Google in your Google Account under Google's terms — on recent Android versions, encrypted with your screen lock — and is not accessible to us. You can turn backup off in your device settings.
Using "Reset my details" in the app, or uninstalling it, removes this information from the phone.
When you type a city, the app sends the text you typed to the geocoding service built into Android, operated by Google, to get matching places and their coordinates. This request goes from your phone to Google under Google's privacy policy. It does not reach our servers, and we never learn which city you searched for.
If you enter coordinates by hand, the app sends those coordinates to the same Google service only to find out which country they are in, so it can suggest the right time zone. Without a connection, the app suggests an approximate offset and asks you to confirm it or pick a named time zone from the list.
The time zone itself is determined on the phone, from the standard time zone database bundled with the app. It is what makes the chart correct: without it there is no way to know which instant your birth time refers to.
To show the day's general reading, the app asks our server for the text of your Sun sign (for example gemini), in your language, for your local date. The request contains no birth details. The reading is cached on the phone so it can be read offline that same day.
When you open a reading written for your chart, the app sends our server a short text describing the result of the local calculation:
sun_taurus,moon_cancer,asc_virgo,venus_square_saturn
It does not contain your date, time, or place of birth, your name, email, or device identifiers, and it cannot be used to reconstruct them. Many unrelated people share the same configuration. The server rejects any value that does not match this fixed format. The app shows this exact text on the Today screen, under "What leaves this device".
If you start a trial or subscribe, the transaction is handled by Google Play Billing. We never receive your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and to tell the app whether a subscription is active. To do that, the app uses an anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat (for example $RCAnonymousID:…), which is also sent to our server to check access to premium content. We do not link this identifier to your name, email, or Google Account. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
To protect premium content from modified copies of the app, our server may ask Google Play to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the app installed from Google Play (Google Play Integrity). Google provides a verdict about the app and the device's integrity; we use it only to authorize access and do not use it to identify you.
When the app contacts our server, standard information is present in the request, including your IP address. We use it only for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
Personalized readings are generated on our server using a third-party AI provider. The only content sent to that provider is the astrological configuration described in section 4, the date, and the language. Generated readings are cached by configuration — not by person — and pruned after a few days.
When you choose to save a reading, card, or chapter to the Sky Journal, that copy stays only on your phone. It is not sent to our servers and can be removed individually in the app.
The daily reminder is optional. The app asks for permission only after your first reading, and the reminder is scheduled on the phone — no notification service of ours knows about it.
We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the app:
| Provider | What it receives | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Android geocoding service) | the city name you type, or coordinates you enter by hand | coordinates and country of the birth place |
| Google Play | purchase transactions; integrity verdicts | in-app purchases; protection against modified apps |
| RevenueCat | anonymous subscription identifier, purchase events | subscription status |
| Our server hosting provider | Sun sign, astrological configuration, anonymous subscription identifier, IP address | serving readings |
| AI provider | astrological configuration, date, language | generating reading text |
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
Because the app has no accounts, we hold no personal profile to delete. To remove everything, use "Reset my details" or uninstall the app. For questions about the anonymous subscription identifier, write to us at the address below.
Depending on where you live — including under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) — you may have the right to confirm whether we process your data, access it, correct it, request its deletion, and obtain information about sharing. Since birth details never reach us, most of these rights are exercised directly on your phone. For anything else, contact us below.
This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and publish the revised version at this URL.
