This Privacy Policy explains how Your Sky in Words: Astrology handles information when you use the iPhone app.
The app calculates your birth chart, shows a daily reading written for that chart, and draws one tarot card a day. Subscribers can also ask a guided tarot question. Premium access is provided through an auto-renewing subscription.

This information is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and synchronized through your iCloud Keychain, so that your chart is still there after reinstalling the app or moving to a new iPhone. iCloud Keychain is end-to-end encrypted by Apple and is not accessible to us. The details are used on the device to compute planetary positions from an ephemeris table bundled inside the app. They are not transmitted to our servers, and we have no way to retrieve them.
Because the Keychain is kept when an app is deleted, deleting the app does not erase your birth details. To remove them from the device and from iCloud Keychain, use "Redo birth details" in the app's settings.
When you open a reading or a chart chapter written for your chart, the app sends our server a short text describing the result of the local calculation. It looks like this:

It does not contain your date, time, or place of birth, your name, your email, or your device identifiers, and it cannot be used to reconstruct them. Many unrelated people share the same configuration.
The server rejects any value that does not match this fixed format.
When you type a city, the app asks Apple's map service to convert that name into coordinates and a time zone. If you enter coordinates by hand instead, the app asks the same Apple service which time zone those coordinates belong to. In both cases the request goes from your device to Apple, under Apple's privacy policy. It does not reach our servers, and we never learn which place you looked up.
The time zone is what makes the chart correct: without it there is no way to know which instant your birth time refers to. If the lookup is not possible, for example without an internet connection, the app asks you to choose the time zone yourself.
To check whether you have an active subscription, the app sends an anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat (for example $RCAnonymousID:…). This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID by us.
If you start a trial or subscribe, the transaction is handled by Apple's in-app purchase system. We never receive your payment details.
We use RevenueCat to validate the purchase and to tell the app whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat processes purchase events and the anonymous identifier described above. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
When you start a guided consultation, the app sends our server the intention you chose, the cards you drew, the language, and the question you typed, if any. To write the interpretation, our server sends the question, the cards, and the intention to the AI provider described in section 9.
Our server stores the question and the generated interpretation encrypted, so the consultation can be delivered again if the connection drops. They are linked to the anonymous app installation described in section 7, not to your name, email, or Apple ID. A copy is also kept in a private file on your device, so you can reread it.
Please do not include names, contact details, health information, or other sensitive information in your question. To have the copies on our server deleted, write to the address under Contact.
To protect the paid tarot consultation from abuse, the app uses Apple's App Attest to prove that a request comes from a genuine copy of the app. This creates a key on your device; our server keeps the public part of it, which works as an anonymous identifier for that installation. It does not identify you or your device model.
When the app contacts our server, standard information is present in the request, including your IP address. We use it only for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
Personalized readings and chart chapters are generated on our server using a third-party AI provider. For these, the only content sent to that provider is the astrological configuration described in section 2, the date, and the language. They are cached by configuration — not by person. For the tarot consultation, see section 6.
When you choose to save a reading, card, or chapter to the Sky Journal, that copy stays only on your device. It is not sent to our servers, is not synced across devices, and can be removed individually in the app.
We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the app:

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and publish the revised version at this URL.
