Astrology & Tarot Readings — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Astrology & Tarot Readings handles information when you use the iPhone app.

The app calculates your birth chart, shows a daily reading written for that chart, and draws one tarot card a day. Premium access is provided through an auto-renewing subscription.

Summary

• Your birth date, time, and place never leave your device. The chart is calculated on the phone.
• We do not require account creation or sign-in.
• We do not use advertising SDKs.
• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
• When you open a personalized reading, the app sends only a short astrological configuration — for example sun_taurus,moon_cancer,asc_virgo — never when or where you were born.
• We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate.
• Purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat.

Information We Process

1. Birth details you enter

To calculate a chart, the app asks for your date of birth, time of birth (optional), and place of birth.

This information is stored only on your device, using Apple's UserDefaults. It is used locally to compute planetary positions from an ephemeris table bundled inside the app. It is not transmitted to our servers, and we have no way to retrieve it.

If you delete the app or use "Refazer meus dados" / "Reset my details" in the app, this information is removed from the device.

2. Astrological configuration sent for personalized readings

When you open a reading written for your chart, the app sends our server a short text describing the result of the local calculation. It looks like this:

sun_taurus,moon_cancer,asc_virgo,venus_square_saturn

This is a description of planetary placements. It does not contain your date, time, or place of birth, your name, your email, or your device identifiers, and it cannot be used to reconstruct them. Many unrelated people share the same configuration.

The server rejects any value that does not match this fixed format.

3. Subscription identifier

To check whether you have an active subscription, the app sends an anonymous identifier generated by RevenueCat (for example $RCAnonymousID:…). This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID by us.

4. Purchase information

If you start a trial or subscribe, the transaction is handled by Apple's in-app purchase system. We never receive your payment details.

We use RevenueCat to validate the purchase and to tell the app whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat processes purchase events and the anonymous identifier described above. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

5. Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example how many people open the daily reading, or where they stop during setup.

This collects usage data and device identifiers as described in Apple's App Privacy label for this app. It does not collect your birth details, which never leave the device.

6. Technical information from network requests

When the app contacts our server, standard information is present in the request, including your IP address. We use it only for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

7. Generated reading text

Personalized readings are generated on our server using a third-party AI provider. The only content sent to that provider is the astrological configuration described in section 2, the date, and the language. Generated readings are cached by configuration — not by person — and pruned after a few days.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
• We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.
• We do not collect precise location. The place of birth you type is used locally only.
• We do not require or offer an account.
• We do not use advertising identifiers or advertising SDKs.
• We do not receive your date, time, or place of birth.

How We Use Information

• To calculate and display your birth chart, on your device.
• To deliver the daily reading and the reading written for your configuration.
• To determine whether your subscription is active.
• To understand aggregate usage and improve the app.
• To protect the service from abuse.

Sharing of Information

We share information only with the service providers needed to operate the app:

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.

Data Retention

• Birth details: kept on your device until you delete them or delete the app. We never hold a copy.
• Cached readings: stored by configuration and deleted a few days after the day they were written for.
• Subscription records: retained by RevenueCat and Apple according to their own policies.
• Analytics: retained according to Firebase's configured retention period.

Your Choices

• Notifications are optional. The app asks only after your first reading, and you can change this in iOS Settings at any time.
• Reset your data: the app has an option to clear your birth details from the device.
• Delete everything: deleting the app removes all locally stored information.
• Manage your subscription in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and publish the revised version at this URL.
